The gift shall be revoked at the instance of the donor if the donee has not complied with any one of the conditions imposed upon him by the former.\nIn such case the things bestowed as a gift shall revert to the donor, all the alienations made by the donee and the mortgages he may have placed thereon being rendered void with the limitation with regard to third parties established in the Mortgage Law.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 589.
