Holographic wills may be executed only by persons of over eighteen (18) years of age.\nFor such a will to be valid it must be wholly handwritten and signed by the testator, stating the year, month and day on which it is executed.\nShould said will contain words that have been crossed out, amended or inserted between lines, the testator shall attest it under his/her signature.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 637; Aug. 12, 1998, No. 233, § 1.
