A widower or widow, on contracting a new marriage, shall have an inventory made of all the property subject to be set apart, enter in the registry of property that such real estate is subject to be set apart in accordance with the provisions of the Mortgage Law, and shall have the personal property appraised.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 932.
