A widower or widow, on remarrying, is also bound to secure by a mortgage:\n(1) The payment of the damages caused, or which may be caused by his or her fault or neglect.\n(2) The return of the sums which may have been received for the personal property alienated or the delivery of the value it had at the time of the alienation, if the latter should have been made for a good consideration.\n(3) The value of the real estate validly alienated.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 933.
