After the separation of property has been ordered the conjugal partnership shall be dissolved, and its liquidation shall be made according to the provisions of this Code.\nNevertheless, the husband and the wife shall mutually attend to their support during the separation, and to the support of the children, as well as to their education, each one in proportion to his or her respective means.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 1329.
