If the thing sold had any hidden fault at the time of the sale, and should be lost afterwards by a fortuitous event or by fault of the vendee, the latter may demand of the vendor the price he paid, deducting the value the thing had when lost.\nIf the vendor acted in bad faith, he must pay losses and damages to the vendee.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 1377.
