The lessor is obliged:\n(1) To deliver to the lessee the thing which is the object of the contract.\n(2) To make theron, during the lease, all the necessary repairs in order to preserve it in condition to serve for the purpose to which it was destined.\n(3) To maintain the lessee in the peaceful enjoyment of the lease during all the time of the contract.\n(4) To sign and deliver to the lessee a receipt for each payment made by the latter.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 1444; May 12, 1942, No. 220, p. 1176, eff. 90 days after May 12, 1942.
