The obligation of a person taking money on loan shall be governed by the provisions of § 3174 of this title.\nIf what has been loaned is another perishable thing, or a quantity of metal, not coined, the debtor owes a quantity equal to that received, and of the same kind and quality, even though it may have suffered a change in its value.\nHistory —Civil Code, 1930, § 1645.
