A person shall not be held accountable if at the time of the commission of the act, as a result of the state of temporary mental disorder, was unable to understand the criminality of the act or to conduct him/herself pursuant to the mandate of law.\nTemporary mental disorder does not exempt from accountability when provoked by the subject for the purpose of performing the act.\nHistory —June 18, 2004, No. 149, § 40, eff.
