When in the commission of a crime the requirements provided by law for the issuance of a license, permit or authorization are violated, or when the criminal act justifies the suspension of the privilege to practice a profession, occupation or regulated activity, in addition to the punishment imposed upon the convict for the crime committed, the court may order the suspension of the license, permit or authorization for a fixed term established in the sentence. The court shall have discretion to order the permanent revocation of said license, permit or authorization.\nHistory —June 18, 2004, No. 149, § 63, eff. May 1, 2005.
