For the following crimes, criminal action does not have a statute of limitations: first degree felonies, genocide, crimes against humanity, homicide, kidnapping and child abduction, embezzlement of public funds, forgery of public documents and all felonies classified under this Code or in a special law committed by a public officer or employee in the performance of public duties.\nHistory —June 18, 2004, No. 149, § 100, eff.
