Any person who, for profit, receives money or other goods in exchange for the surrendering of a minor for adoption or any person who offers or gives money in exchange for the surrendering of a child for adoption in violation of the law that regulates said procedure, shall incur a fourth degree felony.\nHistory —June 18, 2004, No. 149, § 136, eff.
