Any person to whom an elderly or person with disabilities who is unable to care for him/herself is entrusted, and who abandons said person in any place with the intention of deserting him/her shall incur a fourth degree felony.\nWhen due to the circumstances of the abandonment the life, health, bodily integrity or sexual indemnity of the person is jeopardized, the perpetrator shall incur a third degree felony.\nHistory —June 18, 2004, No. 149, § 139, eff.
