Any person who, without being authorized to do so, takes possession, uses, modifies or alters to the detriment of the owner of said information or of a third party, reserved, private, or family information of a personal nature belonging to another which is recorded on disks or in electronic data files, or other type of file or register, whether public or private, shall incur a fourth degree felony.\nHistory —June 18, 2004, No. 149, § 183, eff.
