Any court official who, in any civil action, deliberately collects or receives fees other than those fixed by the Supreme Court in accordance with the authority conferred thereto by law, except in the case of a payment in excess of the fees provided under § 1479 of this title, or who deliberately fails to comply with the duties imposed upon him/her by §§ 1476—1482 of this title, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.\nHistory —Mar. 11, 1915, No. 17, p. 45, § 5, renumbered as § 4 and amended on Aug. 12, 1998, No. 235, § 5; Sept. 29, 2004, No. 492, § 3; July 30, 2009, No. 47, § 7, eff.
