The next of kin of the testator who may be presumed to have any interest in the matter may be present at the opening of the envelope and the reading of the will, but they shall not be permitted to make any opposition to the proceeding even though they may present a subsequent will.\nHistory —Code Civil Proc., 1933, § 549.
