The acceptance by the commissioner of the appointment shall entitle each and every interested party to compel him to perform his functions within a reasonable time, according to the importance and the difficulty of the division; and should he fail or neglect to do so, any party may apply to the judge of the Court of First Instance for an order directing him to do so.\nHistory —Code Civil Proc., 1933, § 602.
