(1) In case the notice is served personally, those persons thus notified shall have a term of fifteen (15) days, from the date the notice is served, to respond to the adoption petition.(2) In case the notice is sent by certified mail with return receipt requested, those persons notified shall have a term of fifteen (15) days, from the date the notice is received according to the receipt, to respond to the adoption petition.[(3)] In case the notice is sent by order, those persons notified shall have a term of thirty (30) days, from the date of publication of the order, to respond to the adoption petition.]The terms referred to in this section shall only be extended for just cause after a request in writing and under oath.
