The Governor of Puerto Rico is hereby empowered to acquire by condemnation proceedings on behalf and in representation of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and for the use and benefit of any municipality of Puerto Rico, and if the Governor of Puerto Rico so deems it advisable, any properties or rights which the municipal legislatures, may through an ordinance to that effect, determine to be advisable, necessary and useful for the municipal purposes for which they were created.\nHistory —May 5, 1950, No. 220, p. 560, § 1.
