The acceptance of the office by the referees shall entitle each of the parties to compel said referees to fulfil their duties, and said referees shall receive such compensation as may have been agreed upon by the parties, or in lieu thereof, the compensation fixed for them by the court.\nHistory —May 8, 1951, No. 376, p. 896, § 8, eff. 90 days after May 8, 1951.
