No official or employee of the Property Registry may collect or receive any amount of money aside from the fees established by law for the Commonwealth, nor accept gifts or donations for the presentation, study or processing of documents or operations of any kind within the Registry.\nNeither may he engage in activities or work which are incompatible with the functions and duties of his office or position, nor intervene as a private individual in matters over which he has had to or may have to intervene directly or indirectly as an official or public employee.\nAny violation of the aforementioned provisions shall be deemed sufficient cause for dismissal of the official or employee committing the infraction, without impairing his criminal liability for any offense he may have committed.\nHistory —Mortgage Law, 1979, § 15.
