Documents not written originally in the Spanish or English languages shall be recorded in the Registry after being translated into Spanish by a notary public residing in Puerto Rico, or by a competent Government official who shall certify the translation, or by a translator who shall swear to its accuracy. For all Registry purposes, the translation shall be considered as the prevailing text. Should a document be presented simultaneously in Spanish and in another language, the Spanish version shall prevail for all Registry purposes.
