When a mortgaged property passes into the hands of a third owner without an obligatory debtor, the mortgage shall not cover movables permanently placed in the buildings, nor improvements that do not consist of repairs, safety measures or alterations, provided one or the other was paid for by the new owner.\nHistory —Mortgage Law, 1979, § 163.
