In accordance with the legal provisions in force concerning a claim for the right to a 'Secure Homestead', when the auction and sale of a mortgaged property is held and confirmed, the amount which the stated provisions order must be retained and deposited. The same rules shall apply in the event of an award, once it is confirmed, when the successful bidder must give the corresponding amount to the marshal for this purpose or deposit it in the Office of the Clerk of the Court before the deed of judicial award is granted.\nHistory —Mortgage Law, 1979, § 232.
