(a) Any sum to which a participant is entitled to receive as final payoff on account of vacation leave, sick leave or other bonuses accrued to be paid by the agency, shall be paid within a term not greater than ninety (90) days as of the date of effectiveness of his/her participation in the Program, if the required documents for such payoff have been submitted to the agency.\n(b) Program participants under § 8883(a) of this title may choose to have their contributions to the public retirement systems paid off or transferred, or adopt any other alternative provided in and pursuant to the laws and regulations that govern their corresponding retirement system or plan. Those who choose what has been provided herein and opt to have their contributions paid off are hereby waiving any pension to which they are entitled.\nHistory —July 2, 2010, No. 70, § 6.
