Agencies and municipalities reserve the right to retain in their position any eligible employees that request to enroll in the Voluntary Pre-Retirement Program for a term not to exceed six (6) months, subject to an additional six (6)-month extension with the approval of the OMB, for the purpose of completing a job, task, duty, or providing training. In these cases, the employee shall not be entitled to receive the Program’s benefits during the time the agency or municipality deems convenient to use his/her services. The agency or municipality may compute the savings achieved by the enrollment of said employee in the Program once the retention period concludes. All other employees who enroll in the Voluntary Pre-Retirement Program shall do so immediately in accordance with the terms of this chapter.\nHistory —Dec. 8, 2015, No. 211, § 10.
