There is hereby created a Government executive department which shall be known as the Department of the Family (hereinafter called the Department) to be under the direction and supervision of a Secretary of the Family (hereinafter called the Secretary) who shall be appointed by the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate.The annual salary of the Secretary shall be thirty-two thousand dollars ($32,000).
