The [Solicitor General] shall conduct the investigations the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico and the Secretary request concerning complaints and disciplinary procedures against attorneys and notaries. In addition, he/she shall bring and conduct before said Court all proceedings he/she is ordered to bring or conduct by the Supreme Court in professional conduct cases against attorneys and notaries. The [Solicitor General] shall not conduct investigations or intervene in complaints about conduct incurred by an attorney while he/she is a judge, unless by the time the complaint is presented the attorney is no longer a judge. He/she shall not intervene either in relation to the conduct of an attorney that, at the time the complaint is presented, is a judge, regardless of when the conduct to be investigated has been incurred.
