General Special Prosecutors shall have the following duties, powers, obligations and authority in addition to those that the law confers onto District Attorneys, whether they are taking upon themselves the representation of the People of Puerto Rico, cooperating with any District Attorney in the discharge of his/her functions or replacing him/her in his/her office:(a) Supervise and direct the divisions and units specialized in the criminal field or in any other field of the Department that the Secretary determines.(b) Investigate criminal, civil and administrative matters that the Secretary or the General Prosecutors assigns and represent these officials before government agencies in hearing any cause.(c) Act as a representative of the People of Puerto Rico in any criminal or civil case at the Court of First Instance.The central office of the Department shall be the seat of General Special Prosecutors.
