The Director may request and obtain, through the Secretary, the temporary assignment of any regular employee of any department, administration, agency, public corporation, board, commission, municipality, or instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to render services at the Office. Any temporary assignment of an employee shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the public entity from which he/she proceeds. However, the request and obtaining of services from the regular employees referred to in this section shall be conditioned to the fact that the temporary assignment of said employees shall not affect the service he/she renders in the entity that authorizes the assignment.Likewise, the Director may request the collaboration or assistance of said public entities to conduct any study, investigation, or activity of the Office necessary and convenient to comply with the purposes of this chapter.
