The Committee shall approve the expenses incurred in each case, which shall be audited and verified by the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company. In no case may the Committee be able to approve expenses in excess of eight thousand dollars ($8,000) for any one (1) invention or discovery and authorize expenses of up to twelve thousand dollars ($12,000) in exceptional cases, with the express approval of the Patent Committee in a simple majority vote.The Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company, with the prior approval of the Committee, shall pay, from the special fund hereinafter created, for the expenses incurred to patent the invention or register the discovery.
