The Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized to deduct from the salaries earned by officers and employees of the Commonwealth Government the premiums of the National Service Life Insurance in the cases where said officers and employees, as veterans of the Second World War are covered by said insurance, and do so request in writing from the head of the Department where they may be rendering services.
