For purposes of §§ 755a et seq. of this title, the following terms will be defined, indicated as follows:(a) Public instrumentality.— Is that instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico which includes: Legislative Branch, Judicial Branch, departments, government agencies, boards, commissions and public corporations excluding municipalities.(b) Banking entity.— Is that institution where an individual retirement account can be opened according to Act No. 91 of June 29, 1954, § 169, which includes: banks, savings associations, securities brokerage houses, trust companies, insurance companies, savings and credit cooperative federations and life insurance cooperatives.
