The Administration shall have the duty to direct and supervise the conservation, utilization and disposal of public documents of the Executive Branch, public corporations and municipalities pursuant to the provisions of §§ 1001—1013 of this title.To perform these duties, the General Services Administrator is empowered to regulate all matters connected with the conservation, utilization and disposal of public documents in the Executive Branch, public corporations and municipalities.
