The heads of the agencies covered by this chapter shall appoint the members of the community board of their agency, taking into consideration the following:\n(1) No member shall be an official who holds an elective office.\n(2) No member may have a direct or indirect financial interest in the services rendered by the office.\n(3) No member shall have professional or consulting services contract with the agency.\n(4) No member of the board may be simultaneously apart thereof and an official or employee of a public agency of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.\nIt shall be the duty of the concerned agency to offer support to enable the community board to carry out its mission.\nHistory —Apr. 11, 2001, No. 16, § 5.
