(a) The schools shall focus the efforts of their components and channel the former to achieve what the Constitution and the Statement of Purpose, classified as a purpose note under § 143a of this title, set forth as the purposes of the Public Education System of Puerto Rico.(b) The schools shall also constitute a center of continuous activity throughout the year where shall be held orientation and community service activities and programs in collaboration with the Department of the Family, the Department of Health, the Environmental Quality Board, the Agricultural Extension Service and the Puerto Rico Police, among other entities.
