With the approval of the school board and the ratification of the Secretary, the Director shall designate a deputy director from among the members of the teaching staff to assist him/her in the administrative tasks of the school. The deputy director shall have a designated teaching appointment and may perform the functions of the director when the director is absent, is on vacation, or cannot perform them for any other reason.
