The teaching institution shall be liable under the provisions of §§ 149—149k of this title when it performs any act that as a result directly affects the educational opportunities, terms and conditions of any person or student who has been opposed to the practices of the teaching institution that are contrary to the provisions of this §§ 149—149k of this title, or that has filed a complaint or suit, has given testimony, collaborated or has participated in any way in an investigation, procedure, or hearing that is filed under §§ 149—149k of this title.
