(a) No birds of prey may be captured for falconry purposes, unless the person capturing it receives a numbered, single-use band from the Department and attaches it to the bird immediately after capturing it. In accordance with federal regulations, an electronic tag may also be used. The Secretary shall establish through regulations the specific conditions for said banding or tagging, as well as the additional requirements and conditions related to it.(b) Altering, modifying, or breaking the band or tag is prohibited.
