The Municipal Reforesting Fund is created by this chapter. In each municipality that has the available resources, this special account shall be established to manage all that pertains to municipal reforesting and to the creation and maintenance of urban forests. The municipality may receive or request donations for the Fund from persons, private, local, national and international entities, industries, commerce, foundations, nonprofit entities, as well as from agencies or dependencies of the Commonwealth and federal governments, to be used as provided in this chapter.
