The Secretary of the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources shall prepare a management plan for the natural reserve, and establish a management agreement between the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources, the Recreational Development Company and the Industrial Development Company to manage the lands comprised in said natural reserve for its protection and conservation. Said official shall also take the necessary measures, including the performance of the surveys and topographic, environmental and any other studies that, in his judgment, are necessary to ensure the faithful compliance of this chapter. Likewise, the natural reserve management plan shall consider the ecological viability of establishing a boardwalk as part of the works, to enable the development of the educational and recreational activities that are proposed, so that the ecological integrity of the designated area is not affected.\nHistory —Aug. 12, 1999, No. 228, § 4.
