It is hereby declared that the public policy of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico is to protect and conserve Monte Santa Ana. Said land formation constitutes a unique natural resource by being a natural formation, the conductor and recipient of underground waters and for providing a wildlife habitat.\nMonte Santa Ana is thus a natural legacy which merits immediate protection to prevent its irreparable damage and destruction.\nHistory —Aug. 21, 2000, No. 180, § 2.
