The Secretary of the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DNER) shall establish [a] management agreement between the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources and the Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico, with the objective to protect and conserve it. Furthermore, said official shall take the necessary steps, including the [realization] of surveys and topographical and environmental studies, as well as studies of any kind that in his/her judgment are necessary to ensure full compliance with §§ 5019–5023 of this title.\nHistory —Sept. 1, 2000, No. 283, § 4, retroactive to July 1, 2000.
