The following phrases and terms shall have the meaning stated hereinbelow, unless another meaning is derived from the text:\n(a) Legislative Assembly.— Means the House of Representatives and the Senate of the Government of Puerto Rico, separately.\n(b) Secretary. Means the Secretary of the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources.\n(c) Department.— Means the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources.\n(d) Marine Reserve.— Means the total area of the Isla Verde Reef Marine Reserve, as established and designated in this chapter, which defines the areas to be protected from the impact of human activities which allow for the recovery of the area, maintain the biodiversity, reduce conflicts of use by separating compatible activities, and serve as reference areas for the study of natural processes.\n(e) Territorial waters.— Means navigable waters under the control or dominion of the Government of Puerto Rico.\nHistory —Sept. 26, 2012, No. 274 § 2.
