The Environmental Quality Board is hereby authorized to participate and assist the Department of Health in the administration of the Puerto Rico Commonwealth Drinking Water Revolving Fund created by virtue of §§ 1901 et seq. of Title 3, and as required under the Title of the Safe Drinking Water Act, P.L. 104-182, as amended.The Environmental Quality Board may receive from the Department, capitalization donations under such act, as well as receive matched funds from the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico as required under the Title of the Safe Drinking Water Act, in order to use them in any manner allowed under such act, to conduct and/or evaluate environmental studies as dictated under the Safe Drinking Water Act and subsection (b)(3) of § 8001a of this title, and to take any other actions required under the Safe Drinking Water Act in connection with the administration of the Puerto Rico Commonwealth Drinking Water Revolving Fund, as per the terms of any agreement executed by the Authority, the Department of Health, and the Environmental Quality Board.The Board may contract any person to discharge its responsibilities as established under this section.
