Once the provisions of this act take effect there shall be a transitional period so as to enable existing luminaires to comply with the provisions of this chapter. As for existing public luminaires, the transitional period shall be six (6) years. As for existing private luminaires, the transitional period shall be six (6) years. Such six (6)-year transitional period shall also apply to projects under construction or which have been submitted to the Permit Management Office (OGPe, Spanish acronym), to obtain a permit, within the first six (6) months after the effective date of this act.\nHistory —Aug. 9, 2008, No. 218, § 10, eff.
