Eighteen (18) months after the approval of this act, no person shall dispose of cathode-ray tube, or electronic or cellular telephone equipment, as defined in subsections (h) and (i) of § 8151 of this title in sanitary landfills, municipal dumpsites or any other site within the jurisdiction of Puerto Rico, save for a collection center that is part of a Recycling and Disposal Plan approved by the Solid Waste Authority and the Environmental Quality Board. To such effects, the Board shall include discarded electronic equipment in the Special Waste category under its jurisdiction and shall oversee compliance with the provisions of this section.\nHistory —Jan. 17, 2012, No. 18, § 3.01, eff. 120 days after Jan. 17, 2012.
