Six (6) months after the approval of this act, retailers of electronic equipments shall provide information to consumers on the benefits of recycling and the options provided by the industry to carry out such process, as well as to promote and incentivize the same. Such information shall be conspicuously displayed and accessible to the consumer in the place of sale, lease or service and make reference to the options available for the recycling and proper disposal of used equipment. This information shall include a statement of the business obligation to receive electronic equipment once it is discarded by the consumer.
