Payments of pensions shall be suspended to the children of the deceased member of the Police Force upon their attaining the age of eighteen (18) years, except if they are persons permanently disabled for work by reason of their mental conditions or physical handicaps or until the age of twenty-five (25) years if they are pursuing studies.Such studies shall be pursued in an institution recognized by the Higher Education Council of Puerto Rico or by the Department of Education, as the case may be.
