(a) Upon the death of an active member of the Police of Puerto Rico for causes not related with the service, his widow and minor or mentally or physically disabled children shall be entitled to receive a pension of not less than one hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) a month from the Public Employees Retirement System of the Government of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.(b) Said pension shall be computed on the basis of the contributions made by the deceased participant to the Retirement System.(c) If in the future said beneficiaries receive any other type of pension from the Federal Social Security or any other source in an amount equal or higher than the one they receive, then the latter shall be abolished.(d) If the pension from the other source is lower than the one received, then the Administrator of the Retirement System shall pay the beneficiaries the difference between one and the other.
